As you look at these wall relief sculptures, you may get the feeling they are life size. They are, in fact, quite small and intimate. They do, however, lend themselves to pieces on a much bigger scale. Created as "drawings in clay", these four pieces were made in succession, then washed with subtle pastel colours and stained with black copper to bring out their incredible depth and texture. One day, I hope to continue with a new series, but in full scale. For now, these inviting pieces allow the viewer to shrink to their size and imagine them as such, getting lost in their lines, grooves and caverns.
